L.O.L

Hey peeps….it’s a beautiful morning and I hope y’all are feeling the sunshine.

Life is a gift and once you have it, you need to really appreciate it. In this life, there are so many leagues but you do forget the most important one. I’m so amazed when I see men discussing soccer especially when the season of leagues begin- UEFA Champions League, British Premier League, and Spanish La Liga to mention but few. Sometimes, these discussions turn into arguments, some resulting into fights but have you thought about “LOL”. Well, I think you are confused now, what has LOL got to do with this? ‘LOL’- “LEAGUE OF LIFE”.

People watch all kinds of leagues but do forget about their own league- the league of life. What kind of league are you playing in your life? Is it the league of laziness, self-righteousness, back-biting among others or the league of self-discipline, hardwork, and good morals to mention but few. The league of life is very important but people miss it because they don’t invest much energy and time into it.

Now, to the youth, what kind of league are you playing? Is it the league of nation-building, tolerance, hardwork, or the league of fraud, armed-robbery, disobedience, and unholy relationships?

To the ladies&gentlemen, are you playing the league of good morals, self-discipline, respect for the elderly, engaging in creativity or the league of abortion, pre-marital sex, drug abuse, corruption among others? Remember, every league you play always have an outcome whether good or bad and the outcome really determine whether you will excel in life or not. Therefore, be careful of your kind of league.

Moreover, to those in relationships, are you playing the league of obedient, self-respect, God-fearing and hardworking girlfriend/boyfriend or the league of pre-marital sex, abortions, cheating, lying, back-biting and disrespecting your partner? The league you play in your relationship can make or unmake you for the rest of your lives therefore take heed lest you fall.

Lastly, to couples, what kind of league are you in? Firstly, to the wives, is it the league of a submissive, obedient, God-fearing, tolerant and understanding wife or an abusive, arrogant, disrespectful, annoying and lazy wife? To the husbands, are you in the league of a hardworking, responsible, dedicated, caring and calm husband or an abusive, arrogant, alcoholic, womanizer league?

Every league is important and as such must be played wisely and according to the rules of the game to ensure victory. Think about your league of life and make the best decision. As you are on the journey to marriage, play your league wisely!!
Always remember God first- stay blessed!!!

F.R.I.E.N.D.S.H.I.P

Hello peeps....howz your day so far? hope y'all are enjoying this wonderful day!

Oh my heart is full of joy and my mouth full of laughter...what a special day it is for me!! Friends are very important in one's life but you need to be careful the kind of people you choose as friends. A friend must possess these qualities; faithful, honest, sincere, loyal and full of love. Any friend who doesn't possess at least three of these qualities can't be trusted and lean on.

Friendship is like a chain of gold; each link is a smile, laughter, a tear, a grip of the hand, and a word of cheer. Some people have been betrayed by friends but life goes on. never allow a person to choose you as a friend, instead you should choose your friends.

Today is a special day for me as two of my unique, wonderful and amazing friends are having a celebration; one is been taking to the aisle and the other celebrating his birthday. Abig shout out to my sweetest gal Ellen as the wedding bells are ringing in your church and a happy birthday to you Samy!! i wish you all the best in life.....enjoy today to the fullest!!! They have been a blessing in my life and i really appreciate you guyx!!

MARRIAGE X SWEET- A letter from Mrs Anderson

Hey Nhyira, life has been good and wonderful… I keep smiling everyday ever since I got married. My marriage is the best ever….is full of love, understanding, respect and prayer. Marriage is sweet and it’s worth the wait. I’ve been married for the past 5years and things are still smooth, we do argue sometimes but my husband and I have ways of dealing with our differences. We don’t invite third parties into the marriage, when something goes wrong, we solve it. We don’t discuss marital issues with friends; it’s private and should remain as such. When people get to know what’s going on in the marriage, that’s when they cook up unnecessary lies and stories just to destroy it.
One funny thing that has really helped us is that our in-laws don’t just come and visit without informing us. Marriage is a different/third family altogether, IN-LAWS don’t just come in and go….if my mum wants to visit, she has to inform my husband and I before she comes over vice versa. In-laws sometimes are the cause of most break ups so far as the person is your son or daughter doesn’t mean you should disrespect their matrimonial home; when you want to visit, ask permission….sometimes the couple need space and privacy. This approach has really helped us and we thank God our in-laws really understand and fully cooperate with us.
Nhyira, my husband is really quick-tempered due to this; I’ve learnt when to speak anytime his form of visage changes. When he gets angry and starts talking, I just keep quiet, listen to him and when he is done all I say is “please I’m sorry for making you rage with anger but when you cool down and give me the chance, I’ll let you know what you’re angry about is really wrong”. After this, he will stare at me and leave to the bedroom waiting for me to get in so he’ll also apologize to me. Hmmm, men and their ego!! You need to study your partner very well in other to live peaceably with them. If I had also talked back, it could have created a whole lot of issues. Where he/she falls short, you have that strength to help them as well as your short fall is also their strength- learn how to compliment and help each other deal with their weaknesses.
Marriage is all about understanding, respect, love, prayer and submissiveness. We do pray a lot, we never forget our good LORD because He holds our marriage. He is our shield and we always seek for His wisdom and knowledge in our marriage. Although misunderstanding arise, we still find a way to make the marriage sweet and lovely…..it all depends on the couples whether to make it work or not.
Marriage is worth the wait, don’t rush, take your time to study the person and really invest much prayer into it. If you respect your husband or wife, he/she too will do the same. Never let your marriage lose respect for each other- that’s dangerous. I will share more of my experiences you help anybody reading this to improve their relationships. Let your journey to marriage count….BE WISE!!
Always remember God first- stay blessed!!

BURY THE PAST

Hey peeps....it's a bright new day and I hope y'all are doing great?

Most people hold onto the past so much that it prevents them to see their bright future clearly. They always refer to the past which haunt them anytime they want to focus on the future. What is holding you to the past? It might be the memory of him/her and you and what are you doing about it anytime you recall it?
Burying over the past isn’t easy but with God on your side, you can make it. The best way to get over the past is by making a decision not to go back or hold onto him/her again.
When you hold onto him/her thinking he might come back again for you two to start again; that’s where the problem lies but, if you’re able to make that bold decision of not holding onto him/her, your mind becomes free.
Bob Gass in the same book also said and I quote “Recognize when something is dead. No amount of work will resuscitate a corpse, so sign the death certificate, bury the past and move on. That doesn’t mean you’re quitting- it just means you’re conserving your strength for the things that count, and about which you can do something”.
He’s dead and gone, he doesn’t love you anymore; no matter what you try to do, you can’t win his/her love again so just sign the death certificate, bury the past and move on.
You may ask how do I sign the death certificate? By telling yourself “he/she won’t come back again, he’s gone; he/she doesn’t love me so I’ve to move on”.

What are you dragging around from your past- old scars or a torch for somebody who’s already moved on? God’s word to you today is “throw it away”. You’re sacrificing your future to an idol (man/woman) that is not worth of your worship (love, pain, sufferings) while he/she is happy, eating and growing fat and you’re rather starving yourself to death. Remember when you die, he/she might weep just the day of your burial and move on with his/her life so why are you killing or destroying your precious life all because of a man/woman.
Stand up, take up your cross and follow Jesus. Forget about the past; anytime your mind sets you to the past just refuse to adhere to it. Get something to do when that happens- you can sing, pray, study the bible, take a walk or even visit friends. Don’t allow your mind to control you, rather you control it.

I will always say getting over the past is not easy but it takes a bold decision to overcome it. That thing(s) that is dragging you to the past should be dealt with. I used to remember our terrific trips, his messages and pampering words but one day I said to myself “I refuse to think about him and all that happened between us, I’m moving forward and there is no going back”. I stuck to that bold decision and now I am healed. I also listened to encouraging songs like “God will make a way”, “my redeemer lives”, “it wasn’t easy”, “I know that I can make it” “Jesus take the wheel”, among others. These songs are inspirational and motivating: they encouraged me to be on my feet.

Jesus even concluded that the rejection of men was “the Lord’s doing”. Joseph did say that too after he’d been betrayed by his brothers; he said “you thought evil against me but God meant it unto good” (Genesis50:20). Can you say that too? I can say that instead of being obsessed over what somebody is doing or has done to you, can you see what God is also doing for you?
I always use myself as an example; after dealing with my broken-heart, I realized it was also meant for good to others  because I’ve gained strength to advice people who are in such situations and they’ve have also recovered to be other’s guide. If I hadn’t experience it, I wouldn’t be in the best position to write this book.

Sometimes when bad things happen, you worry a lot but at the end you see the Lord’s glory. Don’t let the pain you’re in to shatter your dreams and aspirations. Get up, stop sleeping In the past, bath with a different kind of strength from the Lord and put on I’ve signed the death certificate and wear I’ve bury the past sandals. Don’t walk into the past for you’re in the “bury the past sandals”.
Gather all the strength you have now and make a never-turning back decision for the past is like a chain, the moment you walk out of it, it breaks and leave you to go freely. The enemy is such a trickiest person that the moment you feel you’re okay and that you have forgotten the past, that’s where he plays his trick on you.
You might either receive his/her call or your friends might raise his/her picture again, that’s the moment you have to stoop to your grounds and let your “NO” be “NO”. If you allow your emotions to lead you always, you’ll always be in trouble. Never give way to your emotions; sometimes gather strength and let your mind decide rather than your emotions.

At first, I used to allow my feelings to decide for me and always landed me into trouble but now I analyze issues critically by letting my emotions be least in the analysis. You can also do that, think hard before you act. Emotions are like toffees; once eaten the “sweetness” taste doesn’t appear again. Your tongue comes to its original state again that’s why it is dangerous to make decisions based on emotions.

Another way to get over the past is not making decisions based on what people say. If you do that, it’ll be difficult for you to get over the past since those decisions made aren’t from you but from what others have said. If I had listened to the opinions of my friends, I wouldn’t be writing this because I would have still been in my pain and still be finding my way out.
Remember at the end of the day you’re the victim, they aren’t so do things that you won’t regret or be at a disadvantage. You can listen to your friends but don’t let what they say be your final decision.
Always remember God first- stay blessed!

Take The Band-Aid Off

I was reading Bishop T.D Jakes book “Woman thou Art loosed” and he said something that really motivated me. He said “One day I hurt my knee so my teacher placed Band-Aid on it. When I got home, my mother removed the Band-Aid and said when you get hurt or there is sore and you put Band-Aid on it, it prevents the sore from healing rather, it makes it enlarge and affect other areas. Then he went on to say, anytime you’re hurt, just take the Band-Aid off and pour out your pain”         .
What this means is that, anytime you’re hurting and you keep the pain inside you without expressing it, you’re just killing your soul. Take the Band-Aid off, allow air to pass through the sore and be healed. Many at times you just stay in the room weeping, refusing to eat, drink and sleep. That wouldn’t help; you’re just destroying yourself. Some would also pretend that they’re strong and the break-up has not affected them but inwardly, they’re hurting badly. If you have watched “why did I get married too” by Tyler Perry, you realized that Patricia after pretending that everything was going on well with her marriage whiles it wasn’t, she later on got more depressed to the extent of leading her husband unto his untimely death.
Don’t cover your wound for it to enlarge and affect other areas. Just open it, let people know you’re heart-broken: suffering inwardly and outwardly. Your concerned friends are ready to help you, care for you and be there also for you. Don’t think they just pity you; they’re showing you how much they love you and want to be there for you.
When you open your sore, it helps others to know how to treat it. If you’re hurting inside and people do not know, how will they help you? The moment you take the Band-Aid off, they get to know where the sore has reached and how they can help cure it before it enlarges and affects other areas like your studies, health, work and others.
If you know you’re hurting inside because of a break-up and you’re acting as if you’re strong to your friends, family and loved ones, then I’m telling you to stop. That doesn’t make you strong, rather you’re a coward and you’re not able to face difficult situations. Open up, it’s normal for them to know you’re hurting and they’ll also understand. That makes you a strong person; showing them that you’re human and have feelings too.
Stop putting your life at risk by showing the world you’re strong outwardly but inwardly you’re dying slowly. Take the Band-Aid off and give them the chance to help you recover fully. It’s also not easy to take the Band-Aid off when people see you as a strong woman or man; able to stand on principles and make hard decisions but show them that no matter how strong you’re, when it comes to emotions, you can also break down.
They’ll understand because even a tree which is very rigid, hard and able to withstand strong winds sometimes fall when the winds are too strong for their control: how much more you who is human, made up of feelings- flesh and blood and is able to react to pain?
If you’re reading this article and you know what I’m saying implies to you, please take the Band-Aid off and allow people to help you to overcome the pain so that you may also stand in the gab to help those who are also in your shoes..
Don’t be too stubborn; open up for healing and listen to others. If you truly want to live for people to still see you as their mentor then pay heed to this advice you’re receiving. What are friends and family for? They are there to help you in these times, and to be your source of light and lead you to the right path. Surrender yourself with good friends also so that they don’t make fun of you when you encounter such a situation.
This incident also truly reveals the true nature of your friends; whether they’re what you think they’re or not. Please, let people know you’re suffering within; let that be a signal to them that you actually need help. When I was hurting inside, my actions did spoke for me. I took the Band-Aid off and made my friends to know how I was badly hurting inside and how I badly needed help.
I took my Band-Aid off and I received treatment which has made me to be healed. Two of my friends were so committed to me during that horrible situation. They never left me alone because they didn’t know what I would do been left alone.
They did encourage me with their words, actions and made me to face life. They will always tell me if I die right now, that guy that I’m really killing myself for will just attend my funeral, leave, marry and have a bright future but I would be six feet underground. These words made me to start putting my life back.
If I hadn’t taken the Band-Aid off, I wouldn’t have received such powerful words. Those words always reflected my mind anytime I thought of doing something stupid. I began to eat, go out for fresh air and face the world again. I stopped staying in the room; I went out with my friends for lunch, watch productions to mention but few, just to release the pain. It did help my recovery a lot.
I suggest you visit play productions or cinemas when there is comedy show; you’ll just laugh and laugh, forgetting about what lies within you. This is also a way of taking the Band-Aid off. Facing the real world again and telling them you are back on your feet with a little strength but not fully recovered. Make your mind up and don’t turn back to your old ways of dealing with your broken-heart, listen to this advice and take the Band-Aid off.
Always remember God first- stay blessed!!
