Be truthful to your calling and whatever you wish to be.
People act selfishly putting others in danger. Christianity is about truth;
your life must project, promote and protect the image of your Father, God. Let
your life reveal and manifest Christ, bring people to the kingdom rather than
scattering them away from God. As a student, your roommates know your
commitment to church but because of certain attitudes and behaviors, it deters
them from God. The moment you leave for church, you end up in your guy or
lady’s room to fornicate, gossip about people, backbiting: are you gathering
saints or scattering them? Christianity is not about attending church but
fearing God in all your ways therefore sacrifice certain attitudes when
necessary to keep the Kingdom of GOD full and active.
Your attitude, both actions and inactions must portray
Christ and attract people to Christ, henceforth deny your flesh of certain
things that will prevent people from coming into the Kingdom of God. Don’t act
selfishly although you have the right to everything, not all things are
expedient. The book of 1Corinthians8:9 says “but take heed lest any means this
liberty of yours become a stumbling block to them that are weak”. This verse
reveals that one’s freedom, in depth knowledge about God and maturity in Christ
if he/she acts haphazardly can cause the born-again or weak in Christ to fall.
Therefore if per your knowledge dating is good but the weak in Christ sees it
as sin, guard the person to the truth before you start dating or else your
freedom to date can cause that weak in Christ to fall by following your step
and later mess up meanwhile you’ll be on the right path. So for the weak in
Christ to be safe, why don’t you deny your flesh of that freedom, teach and
guide that person and when he/she has fully understood, then you can now enjoy
your freedom!!
