The Voice Of PENINNAH

How often do you hear the voice of Peninnah? In the book of 1Samuel1, it talks about three interesting characters: Elkanah, Peninnah&Hannah.Elkanah had two wives thus Hannah and Peninnah but Hannah was barren with Peninnah having children. She was always on Hannah's nerves reminding her of her bareness. Hannah will always cry, refused to eat and be weary anytime she heard Peninnah's voice. Now Peninnah is likened to the enemy who always remind you of the things you think you lack. Your enemies keep making you sad, wearied, troubled and dissatisfied the moment you hear their voices just like Peninnah. One day Hannah arose from her sadness, sleep and weariness, went straight to the temple and cried onto God for a child. She remembered who she was and the only person who can help her thus God. When the enemy speaks, you forget your identity and the Most High God you even serve but Hannah remembered her God and cried unto Him! Elkanah asked Hannah "am I not enough than ten sons". This scenario is like Jesus Christ asking you today if He isn't enough than what you are seeking for. Many at times you get distracted with the things you want that you forget Jesus and His provision of your needs. The enemy is really cunning, it is better not to listen to the voice of Peninnah but rather pray to Him who has given you life abundantly! His word says in Mathew 11:28 "come to me all who are burdened and wearied, and I shall give you rest". It is time to stop listening to the voice of Peninnah and enter into the throne of Grace to receive mercy in times of troubles, adversities among others. Let the voice of PENINNAH be DEAD in your life BUT the voice of GOD prevails!!!!!!!!!!!! JESUS LOVES YOU!
